One of the world's seven oil and gas supermajors, BP is a global energy company headquartered in the UK, involved in the exploration, production, refining, and marketing of oil, gas, and LNG.

ACCR has engaged with BP since 2022, including on its climate change commitments and decarbonisation strategy and more recently its capital allocation. In 2025, our report, BP: Capex beyond Paris was cited in a letter to the company’s Chair from 48 investors – representing 2.5% of BP’s share value – asking for a vote on BP’s plan to move away from its climate ambitions.
