Businesses have an influential role in shaping Australian politics. Transparency and accountability for corporate political spending and lobbying are essential to the healthy functioning of Australia’s democratic political system, and “fair, efficient and informed markets.”

This webinar presents the key findings of our latest report investigating how 50 leading ASX companies disclose and govern their political expenditures. We compared Australian companies' performance against the performance of leading US companies using the CPA-Zicklin Index - the leading measure of transparency and accountability for corporate political spending.

ACCR’s climate program aims to accelerate the energy transition to a low carbon economy in line with the Paris Agreement. We engage with listed companies on their climate risk disclosure and the need to set emissions reduction targets consistent with the Paris Agreement, and we also push for reviews by listed companies of their industry associations’ climate policy advocacy.
